SURPRISE Kicks Off

Great start to 2020! On 16th and 17th January, we were busy at the kick-off meeting of the SURPRISE project. This marked the start of 3 years of activity, during which 8 international partners will work together to develop a demonstrator of a super-spectral payload, based on highly innovative technologies, for future Earth Observation applications.

The kick-off meeting triggered fruitful discussion among the partners, who are research centres, universities and enterprises. There were precious inputs from the SURPRISE Project Officer at the Research Executive Agency (REA) of Horizon 2020 and from the SURPRISE external User Community Panel, with members from ESA (European Space Agency) and EUMETSTAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites).

After the exciting 2-day meeting, we can’t wait to start our work in SURPRISE! Watch this space to join us in our space journey!
