EO helps us to understand the planet and to address socio-environmental challenges. It has immediate impact on our daily life. An easy example are weather forecasts, which are developed based on data collected by geo-stationary satellites.
With more spatially detailed and frequent measurements from satellites, more and better Earth Observation applications can emerge.
SURPRISE has a consortium of experts researching how to improve the performance of the satellites in gathering data, by using innovative technologies. We integrate Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) into all our work.
