A very successful fourth edition for the ESA Φ-WEEK

A few weeks ago, we told you about the then-upcoming ESA Φ-WEEK taking place from October 11th to 15th 2021.

The event was very successful, with over 3,800 registered attendees from 91 countries, with 17 main sessions and around 190 supplementary items throughout the week.

A lot of discussion revolved around this year’s theme: the New Space economy and associated innovations. Enabling technologies, smallsats, European access to space and accelerating New Space uptake were only some of the many items discussed.

A special attention was paid to the market perspective for Earth Observation information and products. Discussion included how to achieve a better understanding of what governments, industry, the public and other users of Earth Observation products and services need and expect to create value for society and the economy.
