Mark your calendars! Important events coming up next week

Next week is going to start with a bang for Earth Observation (EO) lovers, with the ESA Φ-WEEK taking place online from October 11th to 15th.

This is a key European event for the EO sector, focusing on how to accelerate the future of EO, presenting recent developments in EO Open Science and latest trends in EO markets and involving researchers, start-ups, industry and private investors.

This year’s theme is the New Space economy and associated innovations. How the New Space economy is developing in Europe? How can this contribute to the EU Green Deal, Digital Europe Programme, Destination Earth initiative, UN SDGs? How will it impact on the EU Space Strategy and European space sector? Register for the event and you can learn more.

However, this is not the only interesting event that is coming up next week!

Our partner Saitec will participate in the ETExpo – Earth Technology Expo, taking place in Florence (Italy), from October 13rd to 16th.

The Expo is free and open to the general public. It focuses on technologies for climate, environment, cities and control of natural and anthropic risks, with a high attention to Space and Aerospace business, in particular solutions for EO. It looks at how these technologies can be beneficial to citizens’ life and at how they can help increasing safety from natural disasters, improving planning and management of territories, production and cultural and natural assets.

Saitec will be at the ETExpo to represent SURPRISE and to showcase the rendering of the Target Scanning System Bench and Control Unit, the core of Saitec’s R&D work in SURPRISE.

If you happen to be in Florence, don’t miss this event!
